“One thing I’ve noticed throughout my life is that Fridays never really change. Even in a marketing firm as reputable as the one that employed me, the impending freedom acts like a drug, overtaking normal sensibilities. My co-workers glance at their watches every few minutes, doing their best adolescent imitations. Their movements become more spastic, losing all sense of rhythm in their desperation; their legs twitch, fingers drum and tongues click inside their mouths.”
